The Administrative Council

The Administrative Council of the Higher National School of Political Science is presided by the Minister of Higher Education or his representative and consists of:

  • a representative of the Minister of Finances,
  • a representative of the Minister of National Education,
  • a representative of the Minister of Vocational Training and Professional Education,
  • a representative of the Civil Service Authority,
  • a representative of the Minister of Higher Education.

As for the other sectors the Council is composed of:                                           

  • a representative of the Minister of the Interior and Local Authorities,
  • a representative of the Minister of Defense,            
  • a representative of the Minister of Foreign  Affairs,
  • a representative of the Minister of Justice,
  • a representative of the Minister of Energy and Mining,
  • a representative of the Minister of Water Resources,
  • a representative of the Minister of Industry and the Promotion of Investment,
  • a representative of the Minister of Urban Development, Environment, and Tourism,
  • a representative of the Minister of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises,
  • a representative of the Minister of the Technology of Information and Communication,
  • a representative of the Secretary of State at the Prime Minister’s office, in charge of communication,
  • the elected representatives of the teaching staff whose number and rank are determined by the decree of the Minister of Higher Education
  • two (2) elected representatives from among the administrative and technical employees and the service sector workers,
  • two (2) elected student representatives.

The School’s Director, the Assistant Directors, the heads of the departments, the head of the library, all participate  at the meetings in an advisory capacity.

The Secretary General acts in the meantime as the secretary of the Council.

The Administrative Council can be assisted by any person who could provide help.

Persons from outside who have been affected due to their competence can participate in an advisory capacity.

The election procedure of the representatives of the scholars, students, and employees is determined by ministerial decree.

The representatives are elected for a three-year term, once renewable, except for the students’ representatives who are elected for a one-year term only, once renewable.

The Board of the Directors at the Higher National School of Political Science

The Director is assisted in managing the School by the Board of Directors which is composed of the Assistant Directors, the Heads of Departments, the Secretary General, and the Head of the Library.

The Board of Directors convenes at least once a month. The Secretary Generals acts in the meantime as secretary.

The Assistant Directors are in charge of the structures under their supervision.

The Assistant Directors are appointed by a decree from the Minister of Higher Education according to the proposal of the School Director. They are selected from among the tutors of the highest rank. Their duties come to an end in the same way, by ministerial order.

The head of the library is in charge of managing the library which is organized into units. He is accredited by the Director.

The Head of the library is appointed by ministerial order according to the recommendation of the Director. His term comes to an end in the same procedure.
